Hamas rejects Netanyahu’s UN speech as lies and hypocrisy
Hamas has issued a statement responding to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s address at the UN General Assembly.
The group said the speech was “boycotted by the majority of delegations” and delivered by a man wanted by the International Criminal Court.
Hamas accused Netanyahu of preaching about justice while committing daily crimes in Gaza. It said his denials of mass killings, forced displacement, and starvation are lies contradicted by international reports.
The statement also blamed him for derailing ceasefire talks in Qatar, calling his remarks on Israeli captives hypocritical as the assault on Gaza continues.
Hamas rejected Netanyahu’s claims of plans to take control of Gaza or install a “puppet” authority, dismissing them as “an illusion.”
It concluded by saying that a Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital is “an inalienable right” that Israel cannot erase.
