Here are the day's key developments: 

  • At least 57 Palestinians were killed in Israeli attacks in Gaza, where seven more hospitals and health facilities were forced shut in recent days because of heavy bombardment. 

  • US President Donald Trump said that he will not allow Israel to annex the occupied West Bank.

  • Hamas said that its "weapons cannot be touched" and that resistance was a national and moral responsibility that derives its legitimacy from the Palestinian people.

  • The Israeli military said that it had detected a missile launched from Yemen, which it said was intercepted.

  • 178 House Democrats, including all those in leadership positions, signed a letter warning the Israeli government against annexing Palestinian territory in the occupied West Bank or Gaza. 

  • At least eight people were killed and 142 others wounded in an attack by Israel on Yemen, officials of the Houthi movement said. 

  • Spain cancelled a major defence deal with Israel for supplying advanced aerial technology for its Eurofighter Typhoon fighter jets.

  • Microsoft cut off the Israeli military's Unit 8200's access to some technology over reports that it was storing mass surveillance data of Palestinians in its Azure cloud platform.

  • Physicians for Human Rights Israel said that Dr Hussam Abu Safiya, who has been detained by Israel for nine months without judicial process, has been subjected to violence.
