Israeli forces kills dozens across Gaza, civil defence agency says

Israeli forces on Wednesday killed dozens of people across Gaza, AFP reported, quoting the Palestinian territory's civil defence agency. 

Israel's assault on Gaza City has displaced hundreds of thousands of Palestinians since its military launched a major air and ground offensive on the enclave's main urban center on 19 September. 

The United Nations estimated at the end of August that around one million people lived in Gaza City and its surroundings, where it has declared a famine.

The Israeli military says roughly 550,000 people have since fled the city and moved southward, while Gaza's civil defense agency puts the number at around 450,000.
