Erdogan: Meeting between Trump and Muslim leaders very fruitful

Turkish President Erdogan on Tuesday said the meeting on Gaza between Trump and leaders of Muslim countries was “very fruitful”.

Erdogan said a joint declaration from the meeting would be published and that he was “pleased” with the outcome of the meeting.

Trump met with Arab and Muslim leaders on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly to discuss Gaza's post-war future. 

“I think we’ll be able to do it. This is the group that can do it,” Trump said as he sat with several leaders, including Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim and Turkish President Erdogan.

“This is my most important meeting,” Trump said, adding that it was of the utmost importance to negotiate the release of captives in Israel.
