UNGA President: Gaza's orphans wander among rubble, eating sand
President of the United Nations General Assembly Annalena Baerbock on Tuesday said that thousands of orphans in Gaza are wandering among the rubble, eating sand and drinking polluted water.
Baerbock was speaking at the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, where many Western countries, including France, Britain, Canada and Australia recognised a Palestinian state.
"When civilians are killed in Gaza, is it humanitarian law that fails to protect them?" she asked.
