Egypt: No stability in Middle East without independent Palestinian state
Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly on Monday said that there can be no stability in the Middle East without a solution that meets the legitimate aspirations of the Palestinian people for an independent state.
"We will work to ensure that the Palestinian people remain on their land and that the Gaza Strip is reconstructed," Madboutly said, adding that Israel is committing a genocide in Gaza.
"We categorically reject any attempts to displace the Palestinian people and liquidate their cause. The two-state solution is the only way to achieve a just, comprehensive and lasting peace in the Middle East," he said.
"Today, we are required to build on these developments through practical steps to reach a just solution," he added.
