Israel's Netanyahu says to expand settlements in the West Bank

Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed on Sunday to expand illegal settlements in the occupied West Bank after Britain, Canada and Australia recognised a Palestinian state.

The Palestinian statehood “will not happen,” Netanyahu said, adding that he has prevented the creation of Palestine "despite enormous pressure both domestically and internationally."

Netanyahu also said he has doubled the settlements in the occupied West Bank.
