MAP condemns Israeli strike on Gaza's only specialist children's hospital

Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) has condemned an Israeli strike on Gaza's only specialist children's hospital.

Air strikes on the Rantisi children's hospital on Tuesday night led 40 hospitalised patients to flee, according to the Palestinian health ministry.

It said the hospital was hit three times within minutes.

“This attack has once again shattered the illusion that hospitals or any place in Gaza is safe from Israel's genocide. This hospital is the only specialist facility for children with cancer, kidney failure, and other life-threatening conditions – but even these gravely ill children are not spared from relentless bombardment," said Fikr Shalltoot, MAP's Gaza Director.

"We call on the international community to take action to protect healthcare and urgently intervene to stop Israel's genocide in Gaza and violations of international law.”
