A far-right anti-Muslim biker gang was recruited to staff US-backed aid centres in the Gaza Strip, according to the BBC.

An investigation by the media outlet confirmed the identities of 10 members of the Infidels Motorcycle Club who had been hired by a private contractor to guard aid sites run by the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF).

The GHF, which is backed by the US and Israel, has been responsible for the deaths of hundreds of aid seekers at its sites in Gaza, according to multiple UN reports.

The BBC said that seven members of Infidels MC had been appointed by private contractor UG Solutions to senior positions overseeing sites in Gaza.

Responding to the allegations, UG Solutions defended the qualifications of its staff, saying it does not exclude people based on "personal hobbies or affiliations unrelated to job performance".

The GHF told the BBC it has "a zero-tolerance policy for any hateful, discriminatory biases or conduct".

Infidels MC was founded by veterans of the Iraq war in 2006 and describe themselves as "patriotic" Americans who "reject the radical jihadist movement that threatens liberty and freedom around the world".

Gang leader Johnny "Taz" Mulford is "country team leader" for UG Solutions and was previously punished for conspiracy to commit bribery, theft and making false statements to military authorities.

Images released on social media show Mulford with date 1095 tattooed across his chest, referring to the First Crusade that set out to capture Jerusalem from its Muslim rulers.

GHF began operations in May as the only entity approved by Israel to distribute aid inside the blockaded enclave.

Its distribution sites have been largely condemned by international organisations and rights activists as "death traps".

Several reports have uncovered evidence of US contractors firing live rounds at starving Palestinians.

At least 2,036 Palestinians have been killed and more than 15,064 wounded while collecting food or queuing for assistance at GHF sites or en route to its centres.

Meanwhile, Israeli troops have admitted to deliberately shooting and killing unarmed Palestinians waiting for aid in the Gaza Strip, following direct orders from their superiors.
