Israeli army flattens Gaza tower after ordering residents to flee

Israeli forces demolished another high-rise in Gaza City on Wednesday, AFP footage confirmed, marking the latest tower to be obliterated as Tel Aviv steps up its assault on the besieged enclave’s main urban centre.

Avichay Adraee, the Israeli army’s Arabic-language spokesman, had earlier told residents in and around the building to evacuate. The military later claimed, without evidence, it targeted the tower because it was “used by the Hamas terrorist organisation in the area of Gaza City.”
